Once you've decided on the right option for you, booking confirmation details are provided in a confirmation email. Once you have a confirmed booking with World Baggage, Charges will apply if your requirements change or you need to cancel the shipment. By having this policy, the carriers can accept our bookings with confidence, and we keep everyone's costs low.
Please call us on 1300714422 or via email firstname.lastname@example.org by 2 pm on the business day prior to your scheduled collection or delivery to notify us of any changes or cancellations. Note to cancel a Monday appointment, please call or email our office by 2 pm on Friday. If prior notification is not given and/or if shipment documentation has already been prepared, you will incur a cancellation charge of $55.00.
WORLD BAGGAGE has a number of surcharges relating to the Online Self-Service that may be applicable in addition to the delivery charge. All fees and surcharges are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST (where applicable). WORLD BAGGAGE reserves the right to introduce new and/or vary its surcharges from time to time
Correct Weight/Dimensions Charge
Applicable transport charge for the additional chargeable weight to the destination.
Prohibited Goods Return Charge
Forfeit of the cost of the booking charges paid for the transport of the Prohibited Goods plus any additional transport charges applicable for having the Goods returned to you.
Undeclared Dangerous Goods and/or Prohibited Items
A surcharge is applied per shipment when Undeclared Dangerous Goods and/or Prohibited Items are identified and World Baggage and/or its agents are consequently unable to deliver the shipment. Pus any additional transport charges applicable for having the consignment returned to you.
Booking Alteration Charge
A surcharge is applied to any consignment that requires an alteration to documentation once prepared for dispatch.
Plus any additional transport charge that may be applicable as a result of a change in documentation.
A surcharge is applied per shipment when the destination address provided by the Shipper is incomplete, outdated or incorrect and World Baggage and or its agent is subsequently unable to deliver the shipment.

An automatic surcharge is applied when any piece has a single dimension in excess of 120cm, or when any pallet has a base dimension in excess of 120cm. The longest side/dimension of a single package must not exceed 220cm. Some international destinations have restricted capacity, depending on the carrier and their operational capacities. Over-Sized items may be refused for collection and/or delivery. Your order may be subject to delays and/or incur cancellation fees or additional fees if accepted for collection/delivery. it is your responsibility to accurately weigh and measure your item, your quote is based on the weight and dimensions you have provided.
An automatic surcharge is applied when any piece in a shipment has a scale weight in excess of 70kg. While there is no limit to the total combined weight of a multi-package consignment, an individual package must not exceed 30kg. Overweight items may be refused for collection and/or delivery. Your order may be subject to delays and/or incur cancellation fees or additional fees if accepted for collection/delivery. it is your responsibility to accurately weigh and measure your item, your quote is based on the weight and dimensions you have provided.
Consignee name change
A surcharge is applied when a consignee name change is requested.
Note it is not always possible to amend the consignee name on consignments that have already been dispatched.
A surcharge is applied to any consignment that is canceled after a booking has been confirmed.
After dispatch, you forfeit of the cost of the booking charges paid plus any additional transport charges applicable for having the Goods returned to you.
Futile Collection Charge
A surcharge is applied when the collection is attempted and the sender does not have a consignment available at the time, date and location specified as per their booking
Waiting Dispatch Charge
$0.00 to 10 minutes then $100 per hour charged in 5 minute increments.
$25.00 for each re-delivery until delivery is completed.
Fee applies where an initial attempt to deliver a consignment fails and is returned to our depot for further processing requiring a subsequent delivery or customer pick-up from the depot.
Applicable transport charge for the return delivery.
Proof of Delivery Charge
A surcharge is applied for each hard copy of a "Proof of Delivery" (POD) requested per consignment.
Remote Area Delivery
A surcharge is applied per shipment when the delivery destination location is remote.
Remote is defined as islands and highlands; or a postcode/zip code that is difficult to serve; or a suburb/town that is distant, inaccessible or infrequently served.
$30 or $0.60/kg if higher
No Address labels
A surcharge is applied for any consignment received without address labels affixed to each box/bag or suitcase being sent will incur a $20.00 fee, plus any additional transport charges applicable for having the Goods returned to you.
Packaging Service Charge
Applicable packaging charges as quoted by WORLD BAGGAGE.
$25.00/15mins (minimum $35.00), plus any additional transport charge that may be applicable as a result of the additional handling requirements.
$1.00/item/day (minimum $20.00).
A surcharge is applied if requested to hold, store or delay uplift.
$1.00 per item per day for each day the Goods are stored (minimum $20.00).
