Air cargo operational supervisor TCE has expanded its global presence by inaugurating a new office in Costa Rica at Juan Santamaria International Airport. This strategic move is part of TCE’s ongoing expansion strategy, which began with the establishment of its first African office in Casablanca earlier this year. The decision to set up operations in Costa Rica was motivated by the company’s commitment to providing top-notch services tailored to its clients’ needs.
Sarah Scheibe, the managing director of TCE, emphasized the significance of being responsive to customer demands by establishing a presence in key locations such as Costa Rica. She highlighted the country’s pivotal role as a gateway to the Americas and underscored the importance of having a proficient local team led by Rodolfo Paez, a seasoned TCE expert, to support the market’s growth effectively.
The Costa Rica office will not only oversee local operations but also serve as a crucial link to European operations during the night shift, enhancing operational efficiency and enabling better work-life balance for TCE’s colleagues in Germany. With Rodolfo Paez at the helm and a dedicated team of seven employees, the office is well-positioned to manage customs reporting, customer service, and operational supervision for flights globally.
JetSmart, a Chilean carrier, is among the first airlines to benefit from TCE’s presence in Costa Rica, leveraging the strategic location of Juan Santamaria International Airport to enhance its intracontinental operations. Paez highlighted the airport’s importance as a hub connecting North America, South America, and Europe, handling a diverse range of cargo from perishables to e-commerce, thereby facilitating regional and global trade.
Founded in Germany, TCE’s expansion into Costa Rica marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory, further solidifying its commitment to operational excellence on a global scale. The team in Costa Rica underwent rigorous training to ensure a deep understanding of TCE’s procedures, systems, and compliance standards, positioning them as key players in the company’s worldwide operations.
This strategic move underscores the evolving landscape of the air cargo industry, with companies like TCE adapting to market demands and expanding their footprint to better serve their clientele. By establishing a presence in Costa Rica, TCE is not only enhancing its service offerings but also contributing to the efficiency and connectivity of air cargo operations in the region and beyond.
