JD Logistics, the logistics arm of JD.com, recently unveiled its international business development roadmap at an event in Shenzhen. The roadmap focuses on enhancing global supply chain services through the expansion of warehouse networks, express delivery services, and air freight networks. The company aims to enable 2-3 day delivery in dozens of overseas markets by 2025.
The initiative aims to strengthen the company’s e-commerce fulfillment services, establish a “2-3 Day Delivery Circle,” and expand express delivery regions. JD Logistics also introduced new services such as “Simplified Reverse Returns Service” and “Overseas Warehouse Bulky Item Delivery and Installation Service” to enhance customer experience.
By expanding overseas warehouses and increasing warehouse floor area, JD Logistics plans to provide faster delivery services to clients and consumers in 19 countries. Currently, the company offers 2-3 day delivery in multiple countries and regions, with plans to further expand this service range in Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.
Leveraging its global logistics infrastructure, JD Logistics offers clients a comprehensive “Global E-commerce Omni-channel Fulfillment Service.” This service integrates various transportation modes and value-added services to ensure seamless multi-channel fulfillment and inventory management.
To address after-sales challenges, JD Logistics introduced the “Simplified Reverse Returns Service,” enabling quick processing of returns, quality inspection, and disposal of damaged items. The company also launched the “Overseas Warehouse Bulky Item Delivery and Installation Service” to provide solutions for large-sized products.
JD Logistics is building a global supply chain network with a focus on air transportation. The company is developing a global air transportation hub and regional air hubs to enhance cross-border logistics. JD Express, a part of JD Logistics, offers international express delivery services to nearly 80 countries and regions.
In a strategic move, JD.com, in collaboration with JINGDONG Property, opened a new warehouse in the UAE. This investment aims to enhance logistics operations in the Middle East region, supporting cross-border trade and supply chain transformation. The digital warehouse in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone demonstrates JD.com’s commitment to expanding its logistics business across key markets.
